MacGregor – Varya

The MacGregor brothers developed the first steel hatch covers in Newcastle-upon-Tyne (UK) in 1929 and founded company. Over the time Plimsoll Corporation, Hydramarine, Rapp Hydema, Hatlapa, NMF, Porsgrunn, Pusnes, Triplex and TTS Marine joined the ever growing MacGregor portfolio.

MacGregor is a part of Cargotec Corporation Finland with offices in 120 countries and annual turnover of Euro 4 Billion in 2022.

MacGregor provides intelligent cargo handling solutions to the maritime industry. Their products perform complex cargo handling and cargo access operations. Every second oceangoing vessel on this planet has MacGregor equipment installed onboard.

Our Partnership

Varya started representing MacGregor in India from March 2020 onwards for the sales and marketing for all MacGregor equipment in India.
MacGregor’s India operations kickstarted in 2008, with major contracts from ABG Shipyard, Bharati Shipyard & Pipavav Shipyard for deck crane, hydraulic hatch covers and deck machinery.
Some of notable Indian customers have been Shipping Corporation of India, Great Eastern Shipping Company, Indian Navy & Coast Guards, Cochin Shipyard, Larsen & Toubro Ltd and Mazagon Dock Ltd.
